FindVil LLC ("FindVil," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website at https://findvil.com and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect several types of information from and about users of our Service.
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
We collect information that you voluntarily provide when using the Service, including:
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (if you use email/password registration), or authentication tokens from Google if you use Google authentication. We also collect your name and any profile information you choose to provide.
Resume and Professional Information: When you upload resumes or create your professional profile, we collect the information contained in those documents, including work history, education, skills, certifications, accomplishments, and any other professional information you include.
Search Preferences: We collect information about the job search criteria you configure, including desired job titles, locations, keywords, salary expectations, and other search parameters.
Profile Content: If you create a public profile, we collect the information you choose to display, including professional summary, work experience, education, skills, media uploads (certificates, portfolio samples, awards), and profile customization choices.
Payment Information: When you purchase credits or subscribe to a plan, we collect billing information necessary to process your payment. However, complete credit card numbers are processed and stored by our payment processor, Stripe, not by FindVil. We only receive limited information such as the last four digits of your card and expiration date for display purposes.
Communications: When you contact us via email at support@findvil.com or through our contact form, we collect the information contained in your communications, including your email address, name, and the content of your message.
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
When you access and use the Service, we automatically collect certain information, including:
Log Data: Our servers automatically record information about your use of the Service, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages or features accessed, time spent on pages, access times and dates, and other usage statistics.
Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access the Service, including device type, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities and to remember your preferences. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. You can control the use of cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the Service.
Analytics Data: We use analytics services to collect information about how users interact with the Service, including which features are used most frequently, user paths through the Service, and other usage patterns.
1.3 Information from Third-Party Sources

Google Authentication: If you register or log in using Google authentication, we receive basic profile information from Google, including your name, email address, and profile picture, subject to your Google privacy settings.
Job Listings: We aggregate job posting information from publicly available sources across the internet. This aggregated information about job opportunities is not personal information about you but is part of the Service we provide.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:
2.1 Providing and Improving the Service
- Creating and managing your account
- Processing your search criteria and discovering matching job opportunities
- Generating AI-tailored resumes and cover letters based on your information and target job descriptions
- Storing your resumes and generated documents in your Resume Deck
- Displaying your public profile in the Talent Directory (if you choose to make your profile public)
- Processing payments and maintaining billing records
- Providing customer support and responding to your inquiries
- Analyzing usage patterns to improve Service functionality and user experience
- Developing new features and services
- Detecting, preventing, and addressing technical issues
2.2 AI Processing
We use artificial intelligence and machine learning systems to process your information for several purposes:
- Parsing uploaded resumes to extract information and automatically generate search criteria
- Analyzing job descriptions to understand employer requirements
- Matching your search criteria and qualifications to relevant job opportunities
- Generating customized resumes and cover letters that emphasize your most relevant qualifications for specific jobs
- Calculating match confidence scores between your profile and job opportunities
- Improving AI models and algorithms through aggregated, anonymized training data
You expressly consent to this AI processing of your information by using the Service's AI-powered features.
2.3 Communications
- Sending you account-related notifications, including confirmation emails, password resets, and security alerts
- Providing updates about your search criteria, newly matched jobs, and credit balance
- Sending Service announcements and updates about new features or changes to the Service
- Sending marketing communications about FindVil products and services (you may opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in such messages)
- Responding to your requests, feedback, or customer support inquiries
2.4 Legal and Safety
- Complying with legal obligations and responding to legal requests from government authorities
- Enforcing our Terms of Service and other policies
- Protecting the rights, property, and safety of FindVil, our users, and the public
- Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful or illegal activity
- Conducting investigations and resolving disputes
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
3.1 With Your Consent
We may share your information when you explicitly consent to such sharing, such as when you make your profile public in the Talent Directory or when you share job opportunities with friends via email.
3.2 Public Profile Information
If you choose to make your profile public, the information you select to display will be visible to:
- Recruiters and employers who access the Talent Directory
- Other users who have recruiter access to FindVil
- Anyone with a direct link to your public profile page
You control which information appears in your public profile and can make your profile private at any time. Your base resume, search criteria, and other private account information remain confidential even when your profile is public.
3.3 Service Providers
We engage third-party companies and individuals to perform services on our behalf, including:
- Payment Processing: Stripe processes all payment transactions. When you make a purchase, Stripe receives your payment information in accordance with their privacy policy. We do not store complete credit card numbers.
- Cloud Hosting: We use cloud infrastructure providers to host the Service and store data securely.
- Analytics Providers: We use analytics services to understand how users interact with the Service and to improve functionality.
- Email Services: We use email service providers to send transactional and marketing communications.
- Customer Support Tools: We use support platforms to manage and respond to user inquiries.
These service providers have access to your information only as necessary to perform their functions on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
3.4 Business Transfers
If FindVil is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, bankruptcy, or other business transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
3.5 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations, including responding to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes
- Protect and defend FindVil's rights or property
- Investigate or prevent illegal activities, fraud, or security threats
- Protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public

3.6 Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. For example, we may share statistics about Service usage, job market trends, or other insights derived from anonymized user data.
4. Data Security
4.1 Security Measures
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest
- Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing
- Access controls limiting employee access to personal information on a need-to-know basis
- Secure authentication mechanisms, including support for Google authentication
- Regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Secure payment processing through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant
4.2 Payment Security
All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, the industry leader in internet payment processing. Stripe maintains PCI-DSS certification and employs advanced security measures to protect your financial information. FindVil never stores complete credit card numbers—we only retain limited information (last four digits, expiration date) for display purposes. Your financial information is 100% safe when using FindVil.
4.3 Security Limitations
Despite our security measures, no internet or electronic storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. You acknowledge and accept that you provide your information at your own risk.
4.4 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We encourage you to use strong passwords and to notify us immediately at support@findvil.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
5. Data Retention
5.1 Active Accounts
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. This includes:
- Account information
- Uploaded resumes and generated documents
- Search criteria and matched jobs
- Profile information
- Payment and billing records
5.2 Closed Accounts
When you close your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required or permitted to retain it for longer periods for legal, regulatory, security, or business purposes.
Some information may be retained in backup systems for a limited additional period but will not be accessible for Service purposes and will be deleted in accordance with our data retention schedules.
5.3 Legal Retention Requirements
We may retain certain information as necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations (such as tax or accounting requirements)
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
- Maintain records necessary for business operations and legal protection
- Prevent fraud and abuse
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
6.1 Access and Portability
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you. You can download your information in JSON or CSV format through your Profile settings. This export includes your profile data, search criteria, experience and education information, and other account data.
6.2 Correction
You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information. You can update most of your information directly through your account settings, including your profile, resumes, and search criteria.
6.3 Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. You can delete specific content (such as uploaded resumes or generated documents) through the Service interface. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at support@findvil.com with a deletion request.
Note that we may retain certain information as described in Section 5.3 even after deletion requests, and deletion may take up to 90 days to complete fully across all systems.
6.4 Opt-Out of Marketing Communications
You have the right to opt out of receiving marketing communications from us. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at support@findvil.com. Note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we will still send you transactional and account-related messages.
6.5 Profile Visibility Control
You have complete control over whether your profile is public or private. You can toggle your profile visibility at any time through your Profile settings. When your profile is private, it is not visible in the Talent Directory or accessible to recruiters.
6.6 Do Not Track
Some web browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature that signals to websites that you do not want your online activities tracked. Our Service does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
6.7 California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold
- Right to delete personal information (subject to certain exceptions)
- Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (note that FindVil does not sell personal information)
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

6.8 European Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to rectification of inaccurate personal data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to withdraw consent at any time
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Our legal basis for processing your personal data includes:
- Consent: When you provide explicit consent (e.g., for marketing communications)
- Contract: When processing is necessary to provide the Service you requested
- Legitimate Interests: When processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests (e.g., improving the Service, preventing fraud)

7. International Data Transfers
FindVil is based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
For users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission where applicable.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are under 18, do not use the Service or provide any information to FindVil.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us at support@findvil.com.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service contains links to third-party websites and services, including employer websites, job boards, and application portals. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit. When you click on links to external sites, you leave FindVil's Service and are subject to the privacy policies of those external sites.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Service and updating the "Last Updated" date.
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
